Call to Artists
1st Annual "Art Harvest"
Theme: "It's Not Easy Being Green"
A Juried Exhibit Oct. 1st - 31st, 2008
Opening Reception: Friday, October 3rd • 6pm - 8pm
- Artists may submit up to three works for one fee with at least one guaranteed acceptance.
- Works must have been executed within the last two years
- All work must be ready to hang with wire hangers only (no saw-toothed hangers). Pedestals must be provided for 3d art, appropriately sized & clean. 2d art may not exceed 36”x48”.
- DoveTails requires: title, media, framed dimensions and price of each entry. Please complete the Call to Artists form before coming. Commission split will be 70/30 (70 to the artist) on all art sold. DoveTails reserves the right to post pictures of all entries on our website.
Guidance:
Works will be accepted and juried based upon adherence to theme, presentation, and the above regulations. Get Creative!
Juror: Lonnie Rich
Lonnie spent 25 years in public education as an art instructor and art gallery director. After Retiring in 2005, he soon started his own art business called Artist on East Bay. In addition to being a working artist, he has continued to be active in the visual arts as a juror or submitting art for numerous art exhibitions and festivals in Northwest Florida. He also continues to speak about various art topics in schools & art / civic organizations. Lonnie holds a Bachelor of fine arts from Austin Peay State University and a Masters of Arts from the University of Alabama, both in the area of art education.
